Lubegard Shudderfixx for Torque Converter Shudder

Lubegard Shudderfixx, also known as Lubegard Instant Shudder Fixx, is one of the better known products in the range.

It is a concentrated friction modifier designed for torque converter lock-up shudder and clutch friction related problems in conventional automatic transmissions. Lubegard state that it can be used with conventional and synthetic ATF, but it is not intended for CVT or DCT applications.

For a gearbox specialist, Shudderfixx can be useful when investigating a fluid or friction related shudder. However, it shouldn't take the place of proper diagnosis where there is mechanical wear or damage inside the torque converter or transmission.

All Automatic also rebuild and recondition torque converters, so where a shudder is down to internal wear rather than fluid performance, we can support the workshop with the next stage of the repair.

Lubegard Assemblee Goo for Transmission Rebuilds

Lubegard Assemblee Goo is aimed much more directly at the rebuilding bench.

It is an assembly lubricant designed to help hold components such as seals and needle bearings in position while a transmission is being assembled, while also providing initial lubrication during start-up after the repair.

We stock Lubegard Assemblee Goo for gearbox rebuilders who want a practical assembly aid when building valve bodies, transmissions and other components.

Both the blue Light Tack and green Firm Tack versions form part of the Lubegard Assemblee Goo range, giving rebuilders a choice depending on the assembly work being carried out.

CVT and Platinum Transmission Fluid Additives

The Lubegard range also covers applications beyond conventional ATF.

Lubegard CVT Recharge & Protect is formulated specifically for continuously variable transmissions and is designed to support worn CVT fluid, anti-shudder performance and protection of belts, chains, pulleys and other internal components.

For conventional automatic transmissions, we also stock Lubegard Platinum ATF Protectant, along with Lubegard friction modified ATF supplement products.

Platinum can be used as an ATF conditioner and protectant, helping support fluid performance, shifting and thermal stability. It is a different product to Shudderfixx and gives workshops another option where longer term fluid conditioning is the aim.

As with any additive, the transmission type, fluid specification and application should always be checked before use.
